Runners high: Is It For Real?

Well, a feeling of euphoria which is experienced by some people involved in strenuous running and that is held to be associated with a release of endorphins by the brain. Runners high could occur as early as ten minutes into a consistent run for some people. Whereas, for others, it may take longer. The greater the endorphin surge in these brain areas, the more the euphoric the runner feels that is called as runners high. You might question if it’s real or not? Try it.  Runners high reduces anxiety and lessens the ability to feel the pain. Some say that runners high can be addictive. However, this is not a concern with trotting.

The Battles of Marathons is a long-distance race with a usual distance of 42.195 kilometers in official fields. The Battles of Marathons can be completed by running or by a simple run/walk or trotting strategy. There are also many wheelchair divisions. Besides, Marathon-runners battles have an increased risk of heart diseases. A number of studies have reported that individuals who run more than 20 miles a week or at an average pace of 7.5 mph or faster are more likely to have shorter lifespans than those who run slower over shorter distances. Before starting a Marathon one should get a proper couch.

Running versus Jogging / Trotting

 We can distinguish between running and jogging on the sphere of Pace. Running is faster, consumes more kilojoules and demands more effort from the heart, lungs, and muscles than jogging. Furthermore, running requires a high level of strength, energy as well as fitness than jogging. Well, both jogging and running are forms of exercise that involve oxygen. These types of exercises are precisely called as aerobic exercises. Dr. George Sheehan, a best-selling author from the 1970s, is quoted as saying  “the difference between a runner and a jogger is a signature on a race application.” Basically jogging is a form of trotting or running at a slow or leisurely pace.
